Growing Together: A Left Coast 2020 Year in Review

Sonoma County landscape at sunset

The cultivation community has made it through another year of challenges and changes. COVID-19 brought unprecedented health risks and introduced constraints to the supply chain, west coast wildfires returned to once again threaten homes and commercial growing operations, and a national election proposed changes to cultivation laws.

Like you, we have been working hard to navigate our dynamic industry and operate as a valuable resource for you. We’ve been busier than ever, launching a new and improved website, adding new high-quality products to our collection, upgrading our shipping department for increased speed and accuracy, and more.

As 2020 comes to a close, we’re looking back at this year’s developments at Left Coast Wholesale and sharing a peek ahead at what we have in store in 2021.

What We Grew

At Left Coast Wholesale, we believe in consistently finding new and better ways to serve our partners in the cultivation industry. That’s why we dedicated valuable resources this year towards launching a new and improved website and blog, expanding our social media presence, and adding an exciting new mycorrhizal inoculant to our product line.

New Website

After much planning and tinkering, we were very proud to launch a brand new Left Coast Wholesale website that offers a vastly improved interface for our retail partners. We’ve made it easier and more intuitive to navigate our collection of high-quality products while also adding the ability to view and reorder past orders.

New Blog

Our dedicated new writing team has given our blog a complete overhaul with the goal of providing more useful content that will help you better serve your customers, learn about new products, and take full advantage of the many benefits of working with us. Check the blog often for the latest product reviews, industry interviews, and helpful information tailored to our valued retail partners.

Expanded Social Media Presence

As part of our long-standing tradition of connecting with the growing community, we’ve brought on a new dedicated social media team member to interact with the cultivation industry, highlight our retail partners, and keep you up to date on product features, industry news, and more. Be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to say hello and join in on the conversation.

New Product: DYNOMYCO

This year we announced our partnership with DYNOMYCO to add their top-quality mycorrhizal inoculant to our curated catalog of cultivation products. We believe in offering only the best products on the market, and DYNOMYCO fits the bill. Based on 30 years of scientific study in one of the world’s top agricultural research facilities, this mycorrhizal fungi developed specifically for high-value cash crops helps growers improve nutrient uptakes and increase yields. Weeds We Pulled

We joined the growing community, and the world, in facing formidable challenges in 2020, from a global pandemic to the continuation of yearly west coast wildfires. The fallout from these events is still being felt, but at Left Coast Wholesale we are grateful that we were able to work together to find ways to cope with these difficulties and remain true to our core values.

COVID-19, in particular, presented a unique set of concerns from workplace safety to delays in the shipping chain. Like many companies, we responded by taking the threat seriously and prioritizing the health of our staff, even though it meant less face-to-face interactions with our friends in the community through industry events, store visits, and other ways we like to connect.

Shipping Chain Challenges

COVID-19 also created unavoidable delays deep in the shipping chain, but we adapted by expanding and improving our in-house shipping department. This allowed us to operate with increased efficiency, speed, and accuracy while processing more dropshipping orders straight to your customers than ever before. We are so proud of our team for working together to find effective solutions to unprecedented problems, and we will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.

What We’re Planting

As 2020 comes to a close, we are already working on our plans for next year. We’ll be continuing our efforts to be a valuable resource for our partners in the growing industry by getting back on the road, exploring the possibilities of an expanding industry, and introducing more new top-quality products to help your customers thrive.

On the Road Again

In eager anticipation of COVID-19 subsiding in 2021, we are making plans to get back to direct engagement with our friends in the growing community as soon as it is safe to do so. Our sales representatives are looking forward to getting back on the road for in-person store visits, retail partner appreciations, industry events, and a general return to our down-to-earth approach to connecting with the cultivation world. We hope to see you soon!

An Expanding Industry

As a result of the 2020 elections, voters in five states have opted to update their cannabis laws. Arizona, New Jersey, Montana, and South Dakota all approved recreational possession and sales of cannabis, while South Dakota and Mississippi voters approved new medical cannabis programs. This means that the cannabis cultivation industry will be expanding substantially in 2021, and we look forward to welcoming new partnerships with retail stores and product manufacturers that will be establishing themselves in the broadening market and working together to help them grow.

New Products: Aurora Innovations

We never stop searching for the best cultivation products on the market, which is why we are excited to announce that in 2021 we’ll be partnering with Eugene, Oregon company Aurora Innovations to bring you their comprehensive line of organic liquid nutrients and soil additives. This will allow us to offer even more ways to help your customers improve the health of their plants and maximize their yields. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with a company with a grassroots approach to product design that resonates with our values. Keep an eye on our website and our new 2021 catalog for a deeper look at these new cultivation products.

A Collective Bounty

At Left Coast Wholesale we know that our success depends on a cultivation community that works together to overcome the challenges we face and to ensure that we all thrive for many years to come. We are grateful for your trust in our ability to provide the products and resources you need to navigate an ever-changing industry and help your customers prosper.

We look forward to continuing to grow together with you.
